A little bit about the person behind the blog
My name is Lisa, I am a mum to two tweens called Holly & Jack and fur mum to three yappy dachshunds. I am married and live in the north west of England.
I began this blog 11 years ago when my daughter, Holly, was born (hence the name) and I was living in America with no friends or family around me and just my newborn and my dog for company. It actually began as a craft blog however quickly turned into somewhere to share my parenting journey and keep my family and friends in the UK updated on what was going on with us.
Since then this has been a place where I talk about the many aspects of my life, including mental health, my chronic fatigue diagnosis and how that has affected me as a person and as a parent.
Whilst doing ‘normal’ activities can be a struggle I like to get out and about as a family as much as possible, whether that is local days out or holidays both in the UK and abroad. One of my biggest passions is Instagram where I love creating reels, mini videos sharing my thoughts on body positivity and invisible illnesses whilst putting a positive and often humourous spin on things.
I have worked with many brands over the years, from travel companies to fashion brands, most recently having worked on campaigns for Wilko’s and Matalan via my Instagram page. I cover much of the Wigan & Warrington areas and have many local followers via my social media.
