Over the last few months I have been gradually working on Miss H’s bedroom. In May we bought her a full size bed and new bedding and since then I have been upcycling bookcases and photo frames and collecting various treasures for the finishing touch.
Previously we had the large Ikea Fangst hanging storage for all her teddies, but I have never really felt it fit into the bedroom and she can’t get out any of her teddies at the top. I wasn’t really sure what to do with them and then the fantastic Freckled Frog came up with the answer.
Since they offered to sponsor me for Britmums Live this year, I have worked lots with them including reviewing the gorgeous Wild Things Dresses. When the owner, Ruth, came across 3 Sprouts she asked for my thoughts and I knew instantly I loved them. They provide the most fun solution to kids storage problems in the form of storage bins and boxes decorated with the cutest animals.
When Ruth asked me if I’d like to review one of the boxes it was an ideal addition to Miss H’s new pink and purple bedroom and I quickly chose the purple rabbit storage box. As 3 Sprouts also have a fab dinosaur design, which is what I am planning for Little J’s bedroom, I decided to buy a bin for his room along too.
3 Sprouts are an American company, created by three friends who love modern and unique products. Their storage bins are tough and eco-friendly and can be easily folded away when not in use. Whilst their price tags are on the higher end – £25 of the boxes and £33 for the bins – they are a high quality and a great addition to any nursery or bedroom.
Upon opening the bins I was honestly thrilled with them. The canvas of the bins is really thick and hard-wearing and stands up on its own, unlike many bins which collapse if empty. And the box has a lovely brushed texture which is so soft to touch.

The actual designs are made of tough felt, appliquéd on, which again is hard-wearing but also finished off beautifully with no pieces hanging loose or bobbling. The box is the right size to fit in the popular Ikea Expedit shevling range, which is fantastic, and the bin would be great as a fun laundry basket as well as for storage!
I am really pleased with these additions to both children’s bedrooms and they answer the question of where to put those overflowing teddies that all children seem to amass.
In fact despite having tons of toys, J’s bin is only half full, which is great for future acquisitions.
I really think these are great accessories to any nursery or bedroom and there are lots more designs on the Freckled Frog website, so do have a look. One of my other favourites is the raccoon!
