I have always loved photos and ever since the children were born I have enjoyed having regular family photo sessions of them. We have a couple up in our bedroom from when the children were young babies, but have started a photo wall in the front room for the majority of them. From when H was just 7 weeks old, to when J was six months and H two years, we are gathering a lovely selection of photos over the years.
Two weeks ago we spent a lovely Saturday morning with Amy from Amy Russell Photography, ready to take the next set of photos. Unfortunately J fell asleep ten minutes before we arrived and so wasn’t best pleased about being woken him. This resulted in him being very grumpy for the whole shoot! Fortunately Amy was brilliant with him, bringing some of her sons cars down to try and distract J, which instead ended up in a fight over who had what car. She then offered some fruit chews to them both, which was a great idea and they finally sat munching.

Can you spy where J’s stash is? |
H as always was such a poser. We took her Angels Face skirt with us and it was the perfect prop for some beautiful photos. She danced and twirled for us, and laughed when the lights flashed for each photo. When the images came through it was hard to choose a favourite.
Amy had several different backdrops at the ready, some in colour and some black and white. Whilst we were limited in the style of shots we could go for as J just wasn’t cooperating and wouldn’t leave his dad’s knee, I think Amy had a huge triumph in just getting a couple of shots of the four of us!
We really enjoyed the morning having our photos taken and I am really pleased with the shots – Amy even photoshopped out a huge scratch J had on his nose for us! The photos are the perfect addition to our photo wall and have really made me gasp at how fast my children are growing – it seems like only two minutes ago we had that first shoot with our baby girl.
